Position: Parts Professional Branch: Anchorage Department: Parts Available: The Anchorage Parts Department has an opening for a full-time Parts Professional to service customers' parts needs at the counter and over the phone. Responsibilities: Using the Cummins Northwest Promise of Dependability process: •Look up, sell and pull parts •Determine replacement parts required, according to inspection of old parts, customer request, or customer’s descriptions of malfunctions. •Receive and fill telephone orders for parts. •Fill customer orders and shop orders from stock. •Take inventory of stock. •Receive payment or obtain credit authorization. •Mark and store parts in stockrooms according to prearranged system. •Discuss use and features of various parts, based on knowledge of Cummins engines. Qualifications: • Have good verbal communication skills and ability to develop relationships with external and internal customers. • Be a self-motivated team player with the ability to work and communicate well with customers and co-workers. • Demonstrate the ability to initiate, expedite and follow through to task completion. • Have ability to positively react to change in environment, processes & people. • Be a high school graduate or equivalent. • Have experience handling customers in a courteous and professional manner. • Have and maintain a good driving record. • Be a fast learner, good with numbers, and a desire to learn. • Have at least one year parts counter sales experience. • Have the desire to provide top quality customer service. • Knowledge of Cummins parts system & forklift operations a real plus. Service Advisor	Portland	Service	Carlos Flores
Position: Service Advisor Branch: Portland Department: Service Available: The Portland Service Center has an opening for a Service Advisor. This position provides Customer Support Excellence at the front service counter. Responsibilities: • Initial contact with customers either in person or over the telephone. • Schedule customer work for In Shop or Mobile. • Ensure all applicable SRTs are built in the job plan. • Navigate QuickServe Online for Service and Warranty Manuals and information. • Complete over the counter BMS transactions. • Help manage the work order, including customer contact during the diagnostic, quoting, repair and invoicing (or claim creation) processes. • Help in building the claim header in the work order, help track and processes claims. • Coordinate with the Parts Professional on the shop floor. • Perform other service front counter related duties as assigned. Qualifications: • Excellent communication skills. • Understanding of the parts and service processes, measures and the activity that affects the measures. • Analysis problem solving with basic knowledge of diesel engine technology • Computer skills. • Commitment to and creative thinking for continuous improvement. • Demonstrated ability to work through conflict and strong negotiations skills. • Ability to develop and maintain good business relationships with customers. • Minimum high school graduate or equivalent.
