Introduction to Power Generation & Maintenance
This one day class is intended for those learning the basic principles of power generation and how it relates to our every day use of power.
This introductory course is excellent for anyone wanting to know more about the world of power generation and for those who maintain and upkeep backup power systems.
Principles of how power is generated and regulated are covered as well as basic troubleshooting.
InPower/OTPC Transfer Switch
The OTPC is the replacement for the OTIII Switch. This five day course emphasizes switch operation,
maintenance and troubleshooting. Installation and operation of the InPower software used to set up, calibrate, and troubleshoot
the switch is also covered in detail. Hands on experience is provided.
InPower/PCC (II) 3200 Control
This five day course covers the new generation PowerCommand Control. Installation and operation of the InPower software used to set up,
calibrate and troubleshoot the control is included. Print reading and troubleshooting is emphasized. Hands on experience is provided.
InPower Service Tool
Installation and operation of the InPower software that is used to set up, calibrate and troubleshoot the control is included. Hands on experience is provided.
Low Voltage Safety (Up to 600 Volts)
This one day course earns the student 8 hours continuing education credit for the states of Washington and Oregon in the electrical field.
The content of this class comes from the National Electric Code and OSHA safety standards pertaining to safe work practices for those working around
voltages up to 600 volts. This is a qualification course required by Cummins Power Generation towards technician certification.
Medium Voltage Safety (600 Volts to 15,000 Volts)
This one day course earns the student 8 hours continuing education credit for the states of Washington and Oregon in the electrical field.
The content of this class comes from the National Electric Code and OSHA safety standards pertaining to safe work practices for those
working around voltages from 600 Volts to 15,000 Volts. Some hands-on work is provided on dead equipment to demonstrate proper use of personal protective equipment.
This is a qualification course required by Cummins Power Generation towards technician certification.
Microlite, Emerald and Marquis RV Generators
This three day course covers Microlite, Emerald and Marquis model generators, including the updates to the newer models.
Troubleshooting, wiring diagrams and hands on training prepare the technician to pass level I and Level II Onan RV Generator Qualification.
Quiet Diesel RV Generators
This three day course covers the new diesel RV generators including inverter technology and variable speed governing used on the quiet diesel.
Troubleshooting, wiring diagrams and communication software is emphasized. Hands on experience is provided.
Standby Generator Controls
This four day course is targeted for the technician that needs to be familiar with, maintain or repair standby generator controls.
Onan PowerCommand Control and Detector Control are covered. Load bank usage, with hands on, will be covered.
Troubleshooting, reading schematics and operation is emphasized. Hands on troubleshooting experience is provided.
Transfer Switches
This five day course is targeted for the technician that needs to be familiar with, maintain or repair transfer switches.
Onan models LT, LT26K, LTII, LTIII, AT, OT, OTII, and OTIII are covered. Troubleshooting, reading schematics and operation is emphasized.
Hands on experience is provided.
